The Table Games section on CX Bets includes classic casino games like Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and several Poker-style games. This guide gives a high-level overview of how they work, key terms, and what to expect when you open a table.
1. What Are Table Games?
Table games are casino games played on a virtual or live table layout, usually with:
- A layout that shows betting areas (e.g. chips on numbers or boxes).
- Cards, a roulette wheel, or other game components.
- A dealer (real or virtual) who runs the game and applies the rules.
On CX Bets, table games may be available in two main formats:
- RNG (Random Number Generator) games – fully digital, animated games where software deals the cards or spins the wheel.
- Live Casino games – real dealers on video, with bets placed through an on-screen interface.
The exact games and providers depend on how your CX Bets environment is configured. Always open the in-game Help or Rules section for game-specific details.
2. Blackjack – Beat the Dealer to 21
Blackjack is a card game where you play against the dealer, not other players. The goal is to have a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over 21.
2.1 Card Values
- Number cards (2–10) – worth their face value.
- Jacks, Queens, Kings – each worth 10.
- Ace – can count as 1 or 11 (whichever is more favourable without busting).
2.2 Basic Flow of a Blackjack Hand
- Place your bet
Choose your chip value and place it in a betting box. - Initial deal
You and the dealer each receive two cards:- You typically see both of your cards face up.
- The dealer usually has one card face up and one face down.
- Your decision
Based on your total and the dealer’s visible card, you can:- Hit – take another card.
- Stand – stop taking cards.
- Double – double your bet, take exactly one more card, then stand (rules may vary).
- Split – if you have a pair, split into two hands (extra bet required, rules vary).
- Dealer’s turn
After all players act, the dealer reveals their second card and draws according to fixed rules (for example: hit until 17+, stand on 17). The dealer does not make “choices” – they follow the table rules. - Settling the hand
Outcomes:- If you bust (go over 21) → you lose your bet immediately.
- If the dealer busts and you did not → you win.
- If neither busts → higher total (nearest to 21) wins.
- If totals are equal → usually a push (your stake is returned).
- A “Blackjack” (Ace + 10-value card as first two cards) usually pays extra (e.g. 3:2), depending on rules.
Blackjack rules (e.g. number of decks, dealer hits on soft 17, payout for Blackjack) can vary between tables. Always check the in-game Rules screen for the exact house rules and payouts.
3. Roulette – Bet on Where the Ball Will Land
In Roulette, you bet on where a small ball will land on a spinning wheel with numbered pockets. The wheel usually has numbers 0–36 (European) or 0, 00, 1–36 (American), coloured red or black (except 0 and 00, which are green).
3.1 Basic Layout
On the table, you’ll see a betting grid that matches the numbers and groups on the wheel:
- Individual numbers (e.g. 7, 23).
- Groups of numbers (e.g. 1–12, 13–24, 25–36).
- Red or Black, Odd or Even, High (19–36) or Low (1–18).
3.2 Common Bet Types
- Inside bets – Bets on specific numbers or small groups:
- Straight up – a single number.
- Split – two adjacent numbers.
- Street – a row of three numbers.
- Corner – four numbers touching at a corner.
- Line – two adjacent rows (six numbers).
- Outside bets – Bets on larger groups:
- Red / Black
- Odd / Even
- 1–18 / 19–36
- Dozens (1–12, 13–24, 25–36)
- Columns (one of three vertical columns on the layout)
Inside bets have higher payouts but lower chances of winning; outside bets have lower payouts but higher chances of winning.
3.3 How a Roulette Round Works
- Place your bets
Put your chips on the numbers or groups you want to back. You can place multiple bets at once. - No more bets
When the round is about to start, the game will close the betting window. - Spin and result
The wheel spins and the ball lands in a numbered pocket. The winning number and colour are announced. - Payouts
Winning bets are paid according to the paytable (for example, a straight-up single number bet pays 35:1 on European Roulette). Losing bets are removed.
CX Bets may offer different roulette variants (European, French, American, speed roulette, etc.), each with slightly different rules or layouts. Always check the game’s info section.
4. Baccarat – Bet on Player, Banker or Tie
Baccarat is a simple card game where you bet on which hand will be closer to a total of 9: the Player hand, the Banker hand, or on a Tie. You do not control the cards – you simply choose which outcome to back.
4.1 Card Values
- Number cards (2–9) – worth their face value.
- 10, J, Q, K – worth 0.
- Ace – worth 1.
Only the last digit of the total counts (for example, 7 + 8 = 15 → hand value = 5).
4.2 Basic Flow
- Place your bet
Choose whether to bet on Player, Banker or Tie (and sometimes side bets, depending on the game). - Initial deal
Two cards are dealt to the Player hand and two to the Banker hand. - Drawing rules
Depending on the totals, a third card may be drawn for the Player, the Banker, or both. This follows a fixed set of rules – no player decisions are needed. - Outcome
The hand (Player or Banker) with the total closest to 9 wins. If both totals are equal, a Tie wins.
Typical payouts (exact values depend on the table):
- Player win – pays around 1:1.
- Banker win – pays around 1:1, but often with a small commission (e.g. 5%) due to a slight edge.
- Tie – pays higher odds (e.g. 8:1 or 9:1) but happens less often.
5. Poker-Style Table Games
CX Bets may also offer casino poker variants where you play against the house, such as:
- Casino Hold’em
- Caribbean Stud Poker
- Three Card Poker
- Other proprietary or themed poker games
In these games you typically:
- Place an initial bet (e.g. Ante).
- Receive cards and compare your hand against the dealer’s hand.
- Optionally place side bets (e.g. on the strength of your hand).
Each poker variant has its own rules, hand rankings and payout tables, so always read the in-game Help / Paytable to understand:
- Minimum and maximum bets.
- Which card combinations win.
- How side bets are paid.
6. Live Dealer vs RNG Table Games
Depending on your configuration, table games may be offered in both:
- RNG format – Fast-paced, always available, results generated by a certified random number generator.
- Live dealer format – Real dealers via video stream, interactive chat (where allowed), and scheduled game rounds.
The underlying rules are usually the same or very similar, but:
- Live tables may have time limits for placing bets.
- RNG tables often allow instant play and quicker game rounds.
7. House Edge, RTP and Strategy
All table games have a built-in house edge – a small percentage advantage for the casino over the long term. Some points to keep in mind:
- RTP (Return to Player) and house edge vary by game and rules (e.g. single-zero vs double-zero Roulette).
- Basic strategy in Blackjack can reduce the house edge but cannot remove it.
- Betting systems (e.g. doubling stakes after a loss) do not change the underlying edge and can increase risk.
Table games are designed for entertainment. Always treat them as games of chance, even when some skill or strategy is involved.
8. Responsible Gambling on Table Games
Table games can be engaging and fast-moving, especially at live tables. To stay in control:
- Set a clear spend limit before you start and stick to it.
- Decide how much time you want to play and take breaks regularly.
- Avoid chasing losses or increasing stakes recklessly after a losing session.
- Use any available account limits, time-outs or self-exclusion tools on CX Bets.
If your gambling stops feeling fun or starts to cause stress, we recommend using responsible gambling tools and seeking additional support in your region.
9. Demo vs. Live Environment
If you are viewing this Help Center in a demo or training environment:
- Table games may use test funds only.
- Live dealer streams may be restricted or simulated.
- Limits, RTP and available variants may be different from a real-money environment.
In a live CX Bets deployment, your operator will configure:
- Which Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Poker tables are available.
- Table limits, side bets and rule variations.
- Any region-specific restrictions and responsible gambling requirements.
10. Need Help With a Specific Table Game?
- Use the CX Bets Bot and select Table Games, Casino or a similar category.
- Include the game name and a brief description of your question (e.g. “Why did my Blackjack hand lose when we both had 21?”).
- If you think a result is wrong, take a screenshot of the round and click Submit a request via the Help Center.
Our team can help explain how a specific table game works, review your recent rounds, and make sure you understand the rules and payouts on CX Bets.
