This article gives a clear, high-level overview of the fees and charges that may apply when you use CX Bets. It covers what CX Bets may charge, what your bank or payment providers may charge, and which costs are not controlled by us.
All examples in this article are for demonstration only. Your live CX Bets site must be updated with the actual fees, limits and rules that apply in your region.
1. The Two Main Sources of Fees
When you use CX Bets, fees can come from two main places:
- 1. CX Bets (platform or operator fees)
These are fees that your operator chooses to configure for certain deposits, withdrawals or account events. They are visible in the Cashier or Terms & Conditions. - 2. Third parties (banks, wallets, networks)
These are fees charged by your bank, card issuer, mobile wallet provider, payment gateway or mobile network. CX Bets does not control these.
A key principle is that CX Bets should be transparent about any fees we control, and clearly explain where external providers may add their own charges.
2. Deposit Fees
2.1 CX Bets Deposit Fees (Configurable)
Your operator can decide whether to charge a fee for deposits. Common approaches:
- No CX Bets deposit fees – the most common approach, especially for mainstream methods.
- Small fee for certain methods – e.g. specific voucher or premium methods.
- Fee for very small deposits – to discourage micro-deposits that are costly to process.
Any CX Bets-controlled fee should be:
- Visible on the Deposit screen before you confirm the payment.
- Described in your Terms & Conditions and this Help Center.
2.2 Bank, Card and Wallet Deposit Fees
Even if CX Bets does not charge a deposit fee, your bank or wallet provider might:
- Card transaction fees (e.g. international transaction or cash advance fees).
- Bank transfer charges (for EFTs, wires or specific account types).
- Mobile wallet charges for sending funds or topping up your wallet.
- Currency conversion fees if you deposit in a different currency.
These charges are controlled by your bank, card issuer or wallet, not CX Bets. Check their pricing pages or statements for full details.
3. Withdrawal Fees
3.1 CX Bets Withdrawal Fees (Configurable)
Your operator can configure different approaches to withdrawal fees. Examples:
- No CX Bets withdrawal fee for standard methods.
- Free withdrawals up to a certain number per month, with a fee after that.
- Fee for very small withdrawals below a recommended minimum.
- Method-specific fees for certain payout options.
In a live environment, the following must be clear:
- Which withdrawal methods are free.
- Which methods may have a fixed fee or percentage fee.
- Any minimum withdrawal amount required to avoid a fee.
3.2 Bank, Card and Wallet Withdrawal Fees
Banks, card issuers and wallet providers may apply their own:
- Incoming payment fees for bank transfers.
- Card credits / refund processing fees (where card withdrawals are supported).
- Wallet cash-out fees when moving funds from a wallet to your bank.
- Currency conversion or cross-border fees if funds cross currencies or countries.
These are not controlled by CX Bets. If you are unsure, ask your bank or provider: “Do you charge fees for receiving payments from betting or gaming sites?”
4. Currency Conversion and FX Spreads
If you deposit or withdraw in a different currency to your CX Bets account:
- Your bank or wallet may convert the currency at their own exchange rate.
- They may add an FX spread (difference between buy and sell rate).
- They may charge an additional fee for international/cross-currency transfers.
CX Bets will normally show the amount we receive or send in the account currency. Any conversion into your home currency is handled by your bank or provider.
5. Bonus-Related Costs (Not Technically “Fees”)
Bonuses and promotions usually do not include direct fees, but they may have conditions that affect how quickly you can withdraw:
- Wagering requirements – you must bet a certain amount before bonus funds or winnings become withdrawable.
- Game, market or odds restrictions – some bets may not count towards wagering.
- Expiry dates – unused bonuses may expire after a set time.
These are not “charges” in the sense of money being debited, but they are conditions that affect the usability of funds. Always read the relevant Bonus Terms carefully.
6. Account Maintenance, Inactivity and Dormant Accounts
Some operators apply inactivity or dormant account rules if an account is unused for a long period. Examples include:
- Sending reminders after months of no login or betting activity.
- Charging a small monthly fee for maintaining a dormant account balance (where allowed by law).
- Eventually closing or archiving the account and handling any remaining funds according to regulations.
Whether such fees exist, and how they work, depends on your operator and local law. If they apply, they must be explained in:
- Your Terms & Conditions.
- Your Account / Inactivity section in the Help Center.
In many demo or training environments, no inactivity fees are used at all.
7. Chargebacks, Reversals and Returned Payments
If a payment is reversed or charged back by your bank or card issuer, the following may occur:
- CX Bets may reverse the deposit and remove associated funds from your wallet.
- You may lose access to bonus funds triggered by that deposit.
- You may face fees from your bank or card issuer for the chargeback event.
- In repeated or high-risk cases, your CX Bets account may be restricted or closed.
Any operator-level admin fees relating to chargebacks or returned payments must be clearly described in the Terms & Conditions and will vary by jurisdiction.
8. Network, Data and SMS Costs
CX Bets does not control your:
- Mobile data costs when using the app or website on mobile.
- Wi-Fi or broadband charges from your Internet Service Provider.
- SMS costs if your network charges for receiving OTPs or notifications.
These costs are charged by your network or ISP according to your personal plan. Using CX Bets may consume data in the same way as other websites or streaming services.
9. Quick Reference: Who Charges What?
| Type of Cost | Possible Source | Who Controls It? |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit fee | CX Bets and/or your bank / wallet | Configured by CX Bets (if used) and by your payment provider. |
| Withdrawal fee | CX Bets and/or your bank / wallet | Configured by CX Bets (if used) and by your payment provider. |
| Currency conversion / FX spread | Bank, card issuer, wallet provider | Set by your financial institution, not by CX Bets. |
| Account inactivity / dormant fee | CX Bets (if configured) | Operator-controlled; must be in T&Cs and Help Center. |
| Chargeback fees | Bank, card issuer, sometimes CX Bets | Bank controls their portion; operator may apply admin rules. |
| Data, network and SMS costs | Mobile network, ISP | Controlled by your telecoms provider, not CX Bets. |
Reminder: The actual fees, where they exist, must be defined in your live CX Bets configuration and Terms & Conditions.
10. Where to Find Your Actual Fees and Limits
In a live CX Bets deployment, you can usually find your real fees and limits here:
- Deposit page – shows any CX Bets deposit fees and minimum amounts.
- Withdrawal page – shows minimum/maximum withdrawals and any CX Bets withdrawal fees.
- Terms & Conditions – section on payments, withdrawals, bonuses and dormant accounts.
- Responsible Gambling / Limits – for any voluntary or mandatory limits that may affect your play.
If anything is unclear, you can always contact Support before making a payment.
11. Demo vs. Live Environment
If you are using a demo or training environment:
- Deposits and withdrawals may be simulated and use test money only.
- No real banking or wallet fees apply in the demo environment.
- Any “fees” shown are for illustration and training, not real charges.
For a live CX Bets deployment, your operations team must:
- Replace all example values with accurate fee and limit information.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and licence conditions.
- Keep this article updated whenever fees or providers change.
12. Need Help With a Specific Fee or Charge?
- Use the CX Bets Bot and select Deposits & Payments or Account & Wallet.
- Check your bank or wallet statement to see who charged the fee.
- Click Submit a request if you are unsure whether a charge came from CX Bets or your provider.
Our team can help you understand any fees shown on your CX Bets account and explain which costs are ours, and which come from your bank, card, wallet or network provider.
