If your FICA verification on CX Bets was rejected or marked as “Action required”, it usually means there was a problem with the documents you submitted or with how the information matches your account. This guide explains the most common reasons and how to fix them.
1. Check the Reason Shown in Your Account or Email
Before doing anything else, check the exact message from CX Bets:
- Log in and open the FICA / Verification section in My Account.
- Look for a status such as Rejected, Action required or similar.
- Read any note or comment explaining why the documents were not accepted.
- Check your email (including spam/junk) for a detailed explanation.
The explanation there is your best starting point. The sections below cover the most common reasons.
2. Common Reasons Your FICA Application Was Rejected
2.1 Blurry, Dark or Cut-Off Images
If the image quality is poor, the verification team cannot confidently read or validate your documents.
- Photo is blurry or out of focus.
- There is glare, reflection or strong shadow over important information.
- Edges of the document are cut off (parts of the ID or address missing).
2.2 Expired or Invalid Documents
Your ID or passport must be valid and current. Common issues include:
- Expired ID or passport.
- Old proof-of-address that falls outside the allowed date range (for example, older than 3 months).
2.3 Details Do Not Match Your CX Bets Account
The information on your documents must match what you entered when you registered.
- Name or surname spelled differently.
- Different date of birth.
- Address that does not match your profile.
If your personal details have changed (e.g. marriage, legal name change), Support may need extra documents to confirm this.
2.4 Wrong Document Type Uploaded
Sometimes the right slot is used, but the wrong content is uploaded:
- Uploading a selfie instead of an ID document.
- Uploading a screenshot of online banking instead of a bank statement PDF.
- Sending a document that does not show your name and address.
2.5 Cropped or Edited Documents
Documents must be authentic copies. Over-edited or cropped files can be rejected:
- Information covered, scribbled out or heavily redacted.
- Obvious digital edits that alter the appearance of the document.
- Only part of the document shown (e.g. just a logo and not your details).
2.6 Multiple Accounts or Regulatory Concerns
In some cases, FICA can be rejected due to risk or regulatory reasons, such as:
- Suspected duplicate accounts for the same person.
- Jurisdiction where betting is not allowed.
- Information that raises compliance or fraud concerns.
In these cases, Support will usually provide a more specific explanation and may require additional checks.
3. How to Fix a Rejected FICA Application
Use the reason provided as your guide, then follow these steps:
3.1 If the Images Were Unclear
- Retake photos in a well-lit area with no glare or shadows.
- Place documents on a flat, dark background.
- Ensure all corners and edges of the document are visible.
- Use the highest reasonable resolution on your camera or scanner.
3.2 If the Documents Were Expired
- Use a valid, unexpired ID, driver’s licence or passport.
- Upload a recent proof-of-address (for example, issued within the last 3 months), if required.
3.3 If Details Don’t Match Your Account
- Check that your CX Bets profile (name, surname, date of birth) matches your ID exactly.
- If your details are wrong in your account, contact Support and ask for help updating them.
- For legal name changes, be prepared to provide supporting documents (such as a marriage certificate or official name change document).
3.4 If the Wrong Document Type Was Uploaded
- Upload the correct document for each slot (ID in ID section, proof-of-address in address section).
- Use official documents from recognised institutions (banks, utilities, government).
4. Resubmitting Your FICA Documents
- Log in to your CX Bets account
Go to the official website or app and sign in. - Open the FICA / Verification section
Navigate to My Account → FICA, Verification or Documents. - Review the notes or reason for rejection
Confirm what needs to be changed before uploading again. - Upload new, corrected documents
Attach improved copies that fix the original problem (clearer, correct, up-to-date). - Submit for review
Click Submit or Send for review and wait for confirmation.
After resubmitting, your status will usually return to Pending / In review until the new documents are checked.
5. When to Contact Support
Contact CX Bets Support if:
- You are unsure why your FICA was rejected.
- The reason shown is unclear or very generic.
- You have resubmitted clear, correct documents and they are rejected again.
When you contact Support, include:
- Your username or account number.
- The date you submitted your documents.
- Which documents you used (e.g. national ID + utility bill).
- A copy of the error message or rejection note if possible.
6. Demo vs. Live Environment
If you are using a demo or training environment, FICA rejections may sometimes be triggered for demonstration or testing purposes. In that case, your trainer or system administrator can explain what is being simulated.
For a live CX Bets deployment, your operations team can adjust the reasons and messages shown here to match your exact FICA policy and regional regulations.
